RIB CostX

This application is available in Deakin's on-campus computer labs.

RIB CostX is an all-in-one takeoff, estimating, and reporting solution adaptable to workflows and requirements of different projects, regions, roles, and industries. With advanced functionality, including BIM support, carbon emissions tracking, auto-revisions, and more, quantity surveyors and estimators, and other construction consultants can benefit from error-free results in significantly less time than traditional takeoff and estimating methods.

Mac users: CostX is a Windows-only app. To use CostX you need to install VirtualBox or VMware Fusion, create a new virtual machine, then install a Windows operating system into it. Full versions of Windows are available to students for free through Microsoft’s Azure Dev Tools for Teaching program.
