Esri are encouraging migration from ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) to ArcGIS Pro. Contact your unit chair for guidance on whether to install ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro.

When using ArcGIS installed on your own computer from off-campus, you must connect to the Deakin VPN. For help with the Deakin VPN, see the Cisco Anyconnect (VPN) KB article.
 ArcGIS is an integrated collection of GIS software products providing a standards-based platform for spatial analysis, data management, and mapping. ArcGIS is scalable and can be integrated with other enterprise systems such as work order management, business intelligence, and executive dashboards.

To use a specific extension you must first enable it. More information can be found in the ArcGIS Resource Center.

On Windows 10, you must enable .NET Framework 3.5 before installing. For help with ArcGIS, read More information about ArcGIS.

Standalone license: If you were previously given a standalone license that has expired, contact the individual who originally provided it to issue a new license.
