ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Mac

Antivirus software for University-owned Macs

Category list:Security

Note: You should only install one anti-virus product at a time. Before installing a new product, first uninstall the previous one.

Connecting to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN on a computer with ESET installed requires some configuration changes. Please see KB0013930.
Staff using University-owned workstations that are not managed by eSolutions (non-Deakin Desktop) must manually install and maintain an anti-virus product to ensure the security of the computer and the University’s data on it. All Deakin University managed Macs will have antivirus installed automatically.

ESET Endpoint Antivirus replaces the Microsoft Endpoint Protection (SCEP) for Mac that was previously available for University-owned computers; Microsoft discontinued SCEP at the end of 2018.
